Introduction
A retail company operates a centralized CRM system for its customers in order to systematically map customer-related processes. This system is primarily based on a Microsoft CRM ISV solution and has not been maintained or updated for several years. The software, the operating systems of the underlying hardware, as well as the hardware itself, are nearing end-of-life support. Additionally, the business requires new functionalities. The backup solution is to be modernized, the role and permission model extended, the monitoring system replaced, and the database model enhanced to support multi-currency variants. Furthermore, legacy issues must be cleaned up, a test system needs to be established, and the entire server infrastructure is to be relocated. The entire project must be executed without interruption and free of errors in order to ensure that the customer experience is not impacted at any time.
